The 2nd International Symposium on Mathematics Education Innovation

Symposium Theme:

Transforming Research into Practice: Working towards Joyful and Meaningful Mathematics Towards an Innovative and Sustainable Society.

Target participants

The targets of the symposium are Mathematics teachers, Mathematics teacher educators, Researchers and policy makers on mathematics educations. Student teachers are also welcome and encouraged to attend the symposium.


The main objective of this symposium is to provide a forum for mathematics educators and researchers to review issues, exchange of ideas and share experiences especially on innovation in mathematics education at all levels.

  1. Associate Professor Allan L. White, PhD – the University of Western Sydney, Australia
  2. Robin Avaril, PhD – Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand
  3. Professor Zulkardi – University of Sriwijaya, Palembang, Indonesia
  4. Sitti Maesuri Patahuddin, Ph.D. – State University of Surabaya, Indonesia


In addition to four keynote speeches, the conference will include oral presentations, workshops and poster presentations. The oral presentations will be of 15 to 20 minutes duration followed by a 5 minute discussion. Participants are invited to submit their presentations for consideration for inclusion in the conference proceedings.

The registration fee/contribution will cover admittance to the symposium proper, symposium facilities, symposium programme booklet, symposium CD, and refreshments during the symposium.
